Prepping in a flat

No cellar, no garden, no problem. Mostly.

Starts at level 1: 72 hours

Space

  • Under the bed holds a surprising amount of water and tins.
  • Spread it out: a little in every cupboard instead of one big store.

What is different

  • No lifts in a power cut. Think about stairs and who cannot manage them.
  • Water pressure may fail on high floors first. Store a bit more.
  • Balconies are fine for a camping stove. Kitchens are not.
  • Know the fire exits in the dark.

Your advantage

  • Flats share walls and hold heat far better than houses.
  • Neighbours are close. Meet them before you need them.
